Ashton Woods Takes Home Gold at the 2018 Aurora Awards

The Southeast Building Conference awards Ashton Woods with Two Gold and Three Silver Auroras

ATLANTA (August 21, 2018) – Ashton Woods, one of the nation’s largest private homebuilders, took home two Gold Aurora awards and three Silver Aurora awards at the 39^th annual Aurora Awards ceremony, held on Friday, August 17, 2018, at Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Kissimmee, Florida. Presented by the Southeast Building Conference (SEBC) and the Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA), the awards recognize outstanding design in the homebuilding industry.  

The Ashton Woods Comal model at Arcadia Ridge in San Antonio was awarded the Gold Aurora for Best Interior Merchandising for a Home - $275,001 to $400,000. This 2,619 square-foot home draws character from rustic finishes, antique features and a large floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace in the living room. The open-concept design allows for easy entertaining with barn doors that allow homeowners to close off spaces when needed.

The exposed brick walls throughout the home make each room feel familiar, yet the additional design options such as the board-and-batten statement walls and coffered ceilings add a unique feature to every room.”

In the Atlanta Aria community, the Nabucco model won the Gold Aurora for Best Multifamily Housing Community – Three, Four and Five Story Duplex/Quad/Townhomes. Designed for the empty-nester, this model features a homeowner’s suite, guest retreat, wine cellar and rooftop deck designed thoughtfully in 3,922 square feet. Simple farmhouse elements are the perfect backdrop for the comfortable aesthetic found in the Nabucco model.

Also in the Aria community, the Chopin model, in the category of Best Interior Merchandising Rental Apartment or Condominium, Ashton Woods was awarded the Silver Aurora. The Chopin maximizes its 992 square-foot space by featuring simple lines and a modern style with stunning wood floors and white brick walls throughout.

In the category of Best Interior Merchandising for a Home - $400,001 to $600,000, the Waverly model at GlenPark in Raleigh took home a Silver Aurora. The Art Deco-inspired Waverly spares no detail with elegant materials, brass metals and bold colors infused throughout the home.

The Sullivan model in the Stratton by the Sound community in Charleston was awarded the Silver Aurora for Best Interior Merchandising for a Home - $600,001 to $800,000. This 3,632-square-foot model features a coastal cottage design with a neutral color palette of white, soft blues and grays combined with natural wood throughout the home.
