Great home design is about more than just blueprints and elevations, it’s about crafting spaces that inspire and enhance the way we live. People who love design love our homes. At Ashton Woods, our architects bring vision, creativity, and deep expertise to every home we build. In our Architect Spotlight series, we’re taking you behind the scenes with the brilliant minds shaping our designs. First up: Keith Bristow, our Director of Architecture, whose passion for blending artistry and functionality has been influencing Ashton Woods’ homes for more than 14 years.
What inspired you to pursue architecture, and how has that passion influenced your work at Ashton Woods?
I have always been drawn to creativity. As a kid, I loved drawing, sketching, and painting, and I was especially fascinated by landscapes and classical Greek architecture. Living in Naples, Italy, from ages 7 to 11 had a lasting impact on me because I was surrounded by beautiful Italianate and Renaissance architecture. That early exposure shaped my passion for residential architecture. I love how home design can influence people’s lives, creating spaces that are not just functional but also aesthetically engaging and meaningful.
